Erika Anderson

Erika Anderson is the is the Chief Compliance Officer of EnerVest Investment Services, L.L.C.  In this capacity, Erika oversees EnerVest’s compliance with regulatory obligations.

Erika joined EnerVest in 2014. Prior to her current role, she served as Senior Counsel, where her primary focus was litigation and dispute resolution for a wide range of complex matters across multiple states. Before joining EnerVest, Erika worked for a Houston law firm where she represented domestic and international clients in a broad array of disputes, both in domestic and international fora.

Erika has a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Texas, and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.

Travis W. Hancock

Travis W. Hancock joined EnerVest in 2013. As the firm’s Chief Financial Officer, he leads all financial, accounting, capital formation, and tax activities. Since joining EnerVest, Mr. Hancock has been in increasing levels of responsibility, including managing the restructuring of several legacy EnerVest funds, during the 2015-2017 global downturn in the oil and gas sector, with a key focus on incremental recovery for limited partners.  Mr. Hancock, along with John Walker, led the firm’s largest monetization in its history in a sale to TPG’s Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) in 2018, which now trades on the NYSE as Magnolia Oil & Gas Corp (MGY).  Mr. Hancock’s other responsibilities have included special projects and new opportunities. Prior to joining EnerVest, he was a member of the investment team at Wells Fargo Energy Capital, Inc. where he helped originate and manage mezzanine debt and private equity investments in the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry. Mr. Hancock has also spent time in national politics.

Mr. Hancock received a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, graduating summa cum laude. Mr. Hancock is a member of the Houston Producers’ Forum and the Independent Petroleum Association of America, where serves on the Supply & Demand Committee. Mr. Hancock and his wife, Dr. Anna Lehmann, live in Houston and have two sons.

Bryan Ginsburg

Bryan Ginsburg is Senior Vice President of Marketing for EnerVest Operating, L.L.C. Prior to his current role he served as Vice President of Marketing. Bryan is responsible for product marketing, commercial midstream, and commodity hedging for EnerVest. He has more than 25 years of industry experience working for upstream oil and gas producers and midstream companies.

Prior to joining EnerVest in 2013, Bryan directed the commercial business development area for the pipeline and midstream area for Enable Midstream Partners. Bryan also held roles of increasing responsibility at Noble Energy, with his most recent position as Vice President of Marketing, being responsible for crude oil, natural gas and NGL marketing for Noble’s domestic U.S. and international producing assets. Previous to Noble, Bryan held roles at CenterPoint Energy, focusing on natural gas pipeline marketing and business development.

Bryan received his Master of Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Louisiana State University. Bryan holds membership in several energy industry associations and currently serves on the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation as a Board Trustee and Executive Committee member.

Nicholas Reinert

Nicholas Reinert is Vice President of Reservoir Engineering. Nic joined EnerVest in 2013 and has had many operational roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as Vice President & General Manager of the Magnolia Asset team. Prior to that he served as Reservoir Engineering Manager for multiple assets within the company over time, including the Eagle Ford, Austin Chalk, and Barnett Shale asset areas. Nicholas worked as an engineer for Devon Energy in Houston prior to joining EnerVest.

Nicholas attended Texas A&M University in College Station where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering. He has since gained experience in each of the following areas of the industry: completions, production, and reservoir engineering.

Kevin Miller

Kevin is the Vice President of Land of EnerVest’s Appalachia South assets. Prior to his current position, he was Vice President & General Manger – Appalachian South. Kevin has served in a number of roles within multiple functional groups in the EnerVest Operating organization, including various capacities in the Geology, Land, and Operations groups. The roles he has filled include Appalachian Basin Geologist, Supervisor of Land & Geology for Appalachian North Assets, Manager of Operations for Appalachia North & Utica Assets, and Director of Geology for Appalachia & Utica Assets. Prior to his tenure at EnerVest, Kevin worked the Appalachian Basin assets as a Geologist for Columbia Natural Resources in Charleston, W.V. His career responsibilities have been associated with various basins and assets including the conventional plays of Appalachia, the Knox Unconformity, various WV and VA Coalbed Methane plays, the Marcellus Shale, the Utica Shale, and the Bakken Shale.

Kevin is a graduate of Marshall University where he earned a B.S. degree in Geology. He is a past winner of the W.V. State Journal’s Generation Next “Top 40 Under 40”. Additionally, Kevin currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Virginia Oil & Gas Association and as Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Virginia Tech University Virginia Center for Coal and Energy Research

Levi Maurer

Levi is Vice President of Operations and is responsible for more than 10,800 wells and managing day-to-day operations of EnerVest Operating and UPP assets. He previously held the roles of Vice President and General Manager of the Barnett Shale Asset team and Vice President and General Manager of the Rockies/Permian Asset Team. Levi joined EnerVest in 2004 and has had various engineering and production operations roles of increasing responsibility and has managed assets in Colorado, Michigan, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia and West Virginia.

Levi graduated from Marietta College, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering. He is a member of various oil and gas associations, serves on the Board of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association and has served on the Board of Directors for IOGA NY.

Jim McKinney

Jim serves as EVP and COO of EnerVest Operating, L.L.C. Prior to this role he was Senior Vice President & General Manager of EVOC’s Appalachia South Asset Team. Before joining EnerVest, Jim worked as Vice President and Regional Manager for Penn Virginia Corporation and in many roles for Royal Dutch Shell. He has extensive experience in operations, marketing, midstream and finance in various geographic areas including the Appalachia, Gulf Coast, Arkoma, Granite Wash, Bakken Shale and Permian basins.

Jim currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Virginia Oil & Gas Association as well as the Board of Directors of TruPoint Bank. He is a member of the Advisory Board for the West Virginia University Energy Land Management program and is on the Steering Committee for The Environmental Partnership. Jim earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Business Administration from Houston Baptist University.

Alex Zazzi

Alex was named President and CEO of EnerVest Operating, L.L.C. in July 2018. Prior to this position, Alex served as EVP and COO. Zazzi has been with EVOC since 2016 in multiple positions of increasing responsibility. Prior to his role as EVP and COO, he managed the company’s North Texas and Mid-Continent assets. Zazzi has several years of experience with EVOC in drilling, completions, production and reservoir engineering in five basins across the US. He began his career with Schlumberger, specializing in offshore completions.

Originally from Canada, Alex attended the University of Montana and earned a Petroleum Engineering degree from Montana Tech in 2003. He is an active member of various oil & gas associations.

Andy West

Andy West is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of EnerVest, Ltd. As the company’s chief legal officer, he oversees the company’s legal affairs and leads a team that advises on commercial transactions, litigation, operations, compliance, risk management, and the administration of EnerVest’s institutional investment funds. Andy also serves as Corporate Secretary and is responsible for the corporate governance of EnerVest and its affiliated entities.

In addition to his responsibilities as General Counsel, Andy has held leadership roles in a number of other capacities at EnerVest, including serving as the company’s Chief Compliance Officer and as General Counsel of EV Energy Partners, L.P., a publicly traded master limited partnership.

Before joining EnerVest in 2014, Andy was Senior Counsel at HighMount Exploration & Production LLC. Earlier in his career, he practiced at two prominent international law firms, where he represented energy companies in a variety of complex transactional and regulatory matters.

Andy holds a B.A. with University Honors from Brigham Young University, an M.A., magna cum laude, from Yale University, and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Duke University School of Law. He is an active member of various professional legal associations and has published and presented on topics concerning the oil and gas industry.

Michael Cheng

Michael Cheng is Senior Vice President of Finance and Tax. In this capacity he oversees finance and all tax matters and structured transactions for the Company including tax compliance and planning for managed entities.

Michael has significant experience in the oil & natural gas industry. Prior to joining EnerVest, he served as Director of Tax at Linn Energy LLC. Prior to that, he worked as Tax Accounting Manager at Transocean Ltd and Tax Manager at Deloitte Tax LLP. Michael is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of Tax Executives Institute.

Michael earned a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from Texas A&M University -Kingsville and a Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture from Harbin Shipbuilding Engineering Institute.
